Millfarm is an Icelandic horse breeding and training center located in Ancramdale, New York, 100 miles due north of New York City. Icelandic Sports has approximately 75 Icelandic horses, including fully-trained horses, foals, breeding stallions and mares, and horses in different stages of development.

We deal exclusively with high quality young Icelandic horses from outstanding breeding material which we train at Millfarm. We have 15 trained Icelandic horses to choose from on a rotating basis all year long. We start the Icelandic horses when they are four years old and generally train them until they are six. At that point they are fundamentally strong in all their gaits, behaved, light, friendly, responsive, proud, fun and ready to develop a relationship with a new owner.

There are world class facilities at Millfarm to ride, train and raise Icelandic horses. 20 miles of riding trails criss-cross 2,000 acres, with very easy access to the New York metropolitan area and the Hudson Valley (click here for directions). Our breeding operation is comprised of 4 world class Icelandic stallions with A.I. procedures available. These Icelandic stallions stand at Millfarm and some are shown in the documentary "Riding the Icelandic Horse". So, you can see them in action and decide for yourself.
